Anaplasma phagocytophilum is a tick-transmitted obligate intracellular bacterium leading to human granulocytic anaplasmosis. Its outer membrane protein A is a peptidoglycan-associated lipoprotein which plays a significant role in the pathogenesis of the disease. OmpA is a part of the porin superfamily sharing a beta-barrel structure.
Anaplasma OmpA produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain having a molecular mass of 22kDa. Anaplasma OmpA is expressed with a 10xHis tag and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Sterile Filtered clear solution.
Anaplasma OmpA is supplied in 20mM HEPES buffer pH-8.0, 150mM NaCl, 1mM DTT and 10% glycerol.
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks.
Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Greater than 80.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
