Introduction
EEF1A1 is an isoform of the alpha subunit of the elongation factor-1 complex, which is responsible for the enzymatic release of aminoacyl tRNAs to the ribosome. EEF1A1 is expressed in brain, placenta, lung, liver, kidney, and pancreas, and the other isoform (alpha 2) is expressed in brain, heart and skeletal muscle.

Immunogen
Anti-human EEF1A1 mAb, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinant human EEF1A1 protein 1-462 amino acids purified from E. coli.

Purification Method
EEF1A1 antibody was purified from mouse ascitic fluids by protein-A affinity chromatography.

Applications
EEF1A1 antibody has been tested by ELISA, Western blot analysis and Flow cytometry to assure specificity and reactivity. Since application varies, however, each investigation should be titrated by the reagent to obtain optimal results.
