Introduction

DnaJ homolog subfamily B member 8 (DNAJB8) is superior suppressors of aggregation and toxicity of disease-associated polyglutamine proteins.DNAJB8 is a member of the DNAJ/HSP40 family of proteins that regulate chaperone activity. DNAJB8 is (de)acetylated at 2 conserved C-terminal lysines which aren’t involved in substrate binding, but do have a role in suppressing protein aggregation. DNAJB8 has been implicated as a cancer-testis antigen and as a cancer stem-like cell antigen involved in renal cell carcinoma.

Description

DNAJB8 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 252 amino acids (1-232 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 27.8kDa.
DNAJB8 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Source

Escherichia Coli.

Physical Appearance

Sterile Filtered colorless solution.

Formulation

The DNAJB8 solution (0.25mg/ml) 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0), 40% glycerol, 0.15M NaCl and 1mM DTT.

Stability

Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).

Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
