Description

PIGR Human produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 629 amino acids (19-638 aa) and having a molecular mass of 68.9 kDa.PIGR is fused to a 6 amino acid His tag at C-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

  • Introduction

    Polymeric immunoglobulin receptor (PIGR) is responsible for transcytosis of soluble dimeric IgAs and immune. PIGR binds polymeric IgA and IgM at the basolateral surface of epithelial cells, then the complex is transported across the cell to be secreted at the apical surface.cytokines, hormones, and pathogenic stimuliregulate PIGR expression. The expression of PIGR is critically regulated by the pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1, IL-4, TNF-α, and IFN-γ.
