FeLV is an RNA virus, a member of the Retroviridae family and Oncovirinae subfamily. FeLV retrovirus infects cats and is transferred from infected cats by saliva or nasal secretions. FeLV causes immunosuppression in domestic cats and larger wild cat populations such as cheetahs and lions and is the cause for a form of cancer of the blood cells called lymphocytes (a leukemia) which can be lethal.
The E.Coli truncated derived recombinant protein contains the p27 immunodominant regions, containing 248 amino acids (271-519) and having a Mw of 31kda as visualized by SDS-PAGE. Recombinant Feline Leukemia Virus p27 is fused to a His Tag and purified by conventional chromatography techniques.
Purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.
Protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining).
Sterile Filtered clear solution.
FeLV p27 although stable at 4°C for 1 week, should be stored below -18°C.
Please prevent freeze thaw cycles.
Antigen can be used in ELISA and other immunoassays.
