Phenylalanyl-tRNA synthetase mitochondrial, Phenylalanine--tRNA ligase, PheRS, FARS2, FARS1, HSPC320, dJ520B18.2.
Phenylalanyl-tRNA synthetase 2 mitochondrial (FARS2) is a member of the class II aminoacyl- tRNA synthetase family. FARS2 is a mitochondrial matrix protein. FARS2 when acting as a monomer, catalyzes the ATP-dependent conversion of L-phenylalanine and tRNA (Phe) to L-phenlalanyltRNA (Phe), an event which is vital for proper translation and protein expression.
FARS2 produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 436 amino acids (37-451 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 50.6kDa.
FARS2 is fused to a 21 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
