Introduction

Il-6 is a cytokine with a wide variety of biological functions: it plays an essential role in the final differentiation of b-cells into ig-secreting cells, it induces myeloma and plasmacytoma growth, it induces nerve cells differentiation, in hepatocytes it induces acute phase reactants.

Shipping Conditions

Antibody is shipped lyophilized at ambient temperature.

Storage Procedures

In lyophilized form, for long periods, store at 4oC in a dry environment. After reconstitution, if not intended for use within a month, aliquot and store at -20oC.

Solubility

Reconstitute with sterile H20. Mix gently, wash the sides of the vial and wait 30-60 seconds before use.

Applications

Direct ELISA, Western Blot, Immuneprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry.

Titer

By direct ELISA, 1:10,000 dilution will yield 0.2 O.D using alkaline phosphatase conjugated rabbit anti-mouse Ig (Jackson Laboratories).
