About Heat Shock Protein:

Heat shock proteins are proteins that are made when cells are exposed to temperatures that are above their normal growth temperature. This only takes a brief occurrence of temperature change and it’s something that happens in all plant and animal species, including humans.

Heat Shock Protein Mechanism
The temperature at which the heat shock proteins are induced will depend on the normal growth temperature that the species has. For example, a human has to have the temperature raised several degrees above normal body temperature for Hsps to be made. It’s different for other species where their body temperature may not be at the same levels.

Heat Shock Protein Function
Heat shock protein can be useful when it comes to protection and healing. They’re a protective mechanism against certain forms of stress. Although HSPs can help induce stress tolerance, too much of this expression can be toxic and therefore the HSPs are tightly regulated within cells to keep control.
Health-wise, HSPs have been considered to increase the lifespan of a species. They’ve also been found to be key components to help regulate aging-related cellular phenotypes that also include cancer. They’ve also been previously shown to help increase the muscle protein synthesis. This can help with increasing muscle mass too and building muscle where it’s needed.
