Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Human Recombinant is a heterodimeric glycoprotein produced CHO cells comprised of 2 non-covalently linked subunits-an a subunit of 92 amino acids & a b subunit of 118 amino acids and having a total molecular mass of 28.5 kDa. The TSH is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Chinese Hamster Ovarian Cells
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
The TSH was lyophilized from a concentrated (1.1 mg/ml) solution containing 36 mg mannitol, 5.1 mg sodium phosphate and 2.4 mg sodium chloride.
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Thyroid Stimulating Hormone in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Lyophilized Thyroid Stimulating Hormone although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution TSH should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Greater than 98.0% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
The activity measured by the amount of cyclic monophosphate (cAMP) produced by a bovine thyroid-derived microsome preparation in response to the TSH was found to be >4 IU/mg.
Prospec's products are furnished for LABORATORY RESEARCH USE ONLY. The product may not be used as drugs, agricultural or pesticidal products, food additives or household chemicals.
