SCGN is a secreted calcium-binding protein which is found in the cytoplasm. It is related to calbindin D-28K and calretinin. Secretagogin is involved in KCL-stimulated calcium flux and cell proliferation.
Secretagogin plays a role in human non-functional pituitary adenomas.
Secretagogin Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 286 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 33.3 kDa.
The Human SCGN is fused to His tag at N-Terminus.
The protein’s amino acids sequence is identical to UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot entry O76038.
The Human SCGN is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

The sterile filtered concentrated (0.5mg/ml) protein solution was lyophilized with 20mM Tris & 20mM NaCl pH-7.5.
