About PDCL / Phosducin-Like:

Phosdcuin cells (pdcl) are present in humans and is created by our gene makeup. These cells interact with G proteins in many ways. Pdcl uses innate programming to communicate and signal to G proteins enabling a wide range of physiological responses to happen automatically. These physiological responses range across our bodies from controlling hormone secretion, ensuring steady cardiac rhythms, developing and controlling our psychological behavior and rationales to our ability to use our senses correctly.

PDCL Function
G proteins are present in huge quantities throughout the human body resulting in them having more control over our bodies than we think. This is due to many diseases being caused by signaling issues produced by our G proteins. This is shown through studies that estimate many physiological ailments are targeted by drugs that aim to control G proteins. One such study estimating that over half of the pharmaceuticals prescribed are for this reason. Controlling G proteins in the body is directly linked to pdcl production and cell-cell interaction. These cells can bind themselves to G protein to enable better signaling responses. Studies have shown that the absence of pdcl has resulted in little to no signaling whatsoever. This is quite different from earlier studies on the effectiveness of pdcl concerning G protein signaling.
For a long period, scientific thought suggested that pdcl inhibited the signalling of G proteins and suggested that pdcl were a negative reactor for G proteins. However, more modern studies have disproven this line of thinking and resulted in finding the complete opposite.
