Measles Virus Hemagglutinin Mosaic Recombinant

Introduction:
Measles, also known as rubeola, caused by a virus, specifically a paramyxovirus of the genus Morbillivirus. To date, 21 strains of the measles virus have been identified. Measles virus (MV) is an enveloped, nonsegmented negative-stranded RNA virus of the Paramyxoviridae family.

Description:
The E.Coli derived recombinant protein contains the large hemagglutinin immunodominant regions 1-30, 115-150 and 379-410 amino acids.

Purification Method:
Measles Mosaic protein was purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.

Purity:
Measles Mosaic protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining) and RP-HPLC.

Formulation:
50mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 60mM NaCl, 10mM glutathione and 50% glycerol.

Storage:
Measles Mosaic protein is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon arrival, Store at -20°C.

Stability:
Five years frozen. One month in solution at room temperature.

Applications:
Measles Mosaic protein can be used as an antigen in ELISA and Western Blots. Immunoreactive with sera of Measles Virus infected individuals.
