Introduction: 
Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 7 (CCL7) is a small cytokineknown as a chemokinethat was previously called monocyte-specific chemokine 3 (MCP3). Due to CCL7 possessing two adjacent N-terminal cysteineresidues in its mature protein, it is classified among the subfamily of chemokines known as CC chemokines. CCL7 specifically attracts monocytes, and regulates macrophagefunction. It is produced by certain tumor celllines and by macrophages. This chemokine is located on chromosome 17in humans, in a large cluster containing many other CC chemokines and is most closely related to CCL2(previously called MCP1) .

Storage Procedures:

Stability / Shelf Life:
Two years lyophilized, one month in solution at 4^oC.

Reconstitution:
Reconstitute with sterile H20. Mix gently, wash the sides of the vial and wait 30-60 seconds before use.

Applications:
Direct ELISA, Western Blot, Immuneprecipitation.

Titer:
In direct ELISA, using alkaline phosphatase goat anti-mouse Ig (Jackson Laboratories) 1:20,000 dilution will give 0.2 O.D.
