Introduction HBsAg is the surface antigen of the Hepatitis-B-Virus (HBV). The capsid of a virus has different surface proteins from the rest of the virus. The antigen is a protein that binds specifically on one of these surface proteins. It is commonly referred to as the Australian Antigen.
Recombinant HbsAg ayw full length is a 24kDa protein cloned from HBV 320 genome.
Source Saccharomyces cerevisae.
Physical Appearance Sterile Filtered clear solution.
Formulation Sterile Filtered solution containing 50% glycerol, 7.5mM phosphate buffer pH 7.2, 75mM NaCl.
Stability HBsAg protein should be stored at 4°C between 3-4 weeks and for future use should be stored desiccated below -18°C.
Purity Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Applications HBsAg protein was tested in ELISA with anti-HBsAg antibodies (capture and conjugate).
Immunochromatography (capture and conjugate).
Immunogen for monoclonal antibody production.
