Introduction

GSTM4 is part of the glutathione s-transferase (GST) family of proteins. There are eight families of GST proteins, namely alpha, kappa, mu, omega, pi, sigma, theta and zeta, each of which is composed of proteins that have a variety of functions throughout the cell. The mu class of enzymes functions in the detoxification of electrophilic compounds, including carcinogens, therapeutic drugs, environmental toxins and products of oxidative stress, by conjugation with glutathione.

Description

GSTM4 Recombinant Human produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 238 amino acids (1-218 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 27.7 kDa. The GSTM4 is fused to a 20 amino acids His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Source

Escherichia Coli.
