Introduction

FKBP14 enzyme accelerates the folding of proteins during protein synthesis. FKBP14 contains 2 EF-hand domains and one PPIase FKBP-type domain. Truncation of the amino-terminus of FKBP14 significantly decreases peptidyl prolyl cis-trans isomerase activity, therefore implicating that the PPIase FKBP-type domain must be located at the N-terminus.

Immunogen

Anti-human FKBP14 mAb, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with recombinant human FKBP14 amino acids 20-211 purified from E. coli.

Mouse IgG2b heavy chain and κ light chain.

Purification Method

FKBP14 antibody was purified from mouse ascitic fluids by protein-G affinity chromatography.

Protein formulation

1mg/ml containing PBS, pH-7.4, & 0.1% Sodium Azide.

Storage Procedures

For periods up to 1 month store at 4°C, for longer periods of time, store at -20°C. Prevent freeze thaw cycles.

Applications

FKBP14 antibody has been tested by ELISA and Western blot to assure specificity and reactivity. Since applications vary, each investigation should be titrated by a reagent to obtain optimal results. Recommended dilution range for Western blot analysis 1:500 ~ 1:1000
Recommended starting dilution is 1:500.
