Fatty acid-binding protein 1 liver, L-FABP, FABPL, FABP-1, FABP1, Z-protein.
FABP1 (Fatty acid binding protein1) encodes the fatty acid binding protein found in liver. FABP1 is composed of ten antiparallel β strands that form a barrel with a bigger binding pocket than the other FABPs allowing it to accommodate two fatty acids. This protein binds free fatty acids and their coenzyme A derivatives, bilirubin, and some other small molecules in the cytoplasm; it may be involved in intracellular lipid transport and metabolism.
FABP1 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 127 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 18.71kDa. FABP1 is fused to His tag at N-terminus and purified by standard chromatography techniques.
Escherichia Coli.
Sterile Filtered colorless liquid formulation.
FABP1 His-Tag is supplied in 20mM Tris HCl pH-8 and 50% glycerol.
