Chlamydia Trachomatis W4 Recombinant

Introduction:
Chlamydia is a common term for infection with any bacterium belonging to the phylum Chlamydiae. This term derives from the name of the bacterial genus Chlamydiain the family Chlamydiaceae, order Chlamydiales, class and phylum Chlamydiae. There are two genera in Chlamydiaceae: Chlamydia and Chlamydophila. The genus Chlamydia includes three species: C. trachomatis, C. muridarum, and C. suis.

Product Description:
The E.coli derived recombinant 6xHis fusion at C-terminus protein contains Chlamydia TrachomatisMOMP protein epitopes, 191-286 amino acids.

Purificatios Method:
Chlamydia W4 proteins was purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.

Purity:
Chlamydia W4 protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining) and RP-HPLC.

Formulation:
10mM Tris-HCl, pH 6.0, 100mM Sodium Phosphate and 8M urea.

Storage:
Chlamydia W4 protein is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon arrival, Store at -20°C .

Stability:
Five years frozen. One month in solution at room temperature.

Specificity:
Immunoreactive with sera of Chlamydia Trachomatis infected individuals.

Applications:
Chlamydia W4 is suitable for use in ELISA. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
