Introduction:
Chlamydia is a common term for infection with any bacterium belonging to the phylum Chlamydiae. This term derives from the name of the bacterial genusChlamydiain the family Chlamydiaceae, order Chlamydiales, class and phylum Chlamydiae. There are two genera in Chlamydiaceae: Chlamydia and Chlamydophila. The genus Chlamydia includes three species: C. trachomatis, C. muridarum, and C. suis.

Description:
The E.coli derived recombinant protein contains Chlamydia TrachomatisPGP-3D full length protein epitope.

Purification Method:
Chlamydia PGP-3D protein was purified by proprietary chromatographic technique.

Purity:
Chlamydia PGP-3D protein is >95% pure as determined by 10% PAGE (coomassie staining) and RP-HPLC.

Formulation:
50mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 60mM NaCl, 8M Urea and 50% glycerol.

Storage:
Chlamydia PGP-3D protein is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon arrival, Store at -20°C .

Stability:
Five years frozen. One month in solution at room temperature.

Specificity:
Immunoreactive with sera of Chlamydia Trachomatis infected individuals.

Applications:
Chlamydia PGP-3D protein is suitable for use in ELISA. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
