Mouse Antibody Monoclonal
Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a peptide hormoneproduced in pregnancy, that is made by the embryosoon after conceptionand later by the syncytiotrophoblast(part of the placenta). Its role is to prevent the disintegration of the corpus luteumof the ovaryand thereby maintain progesteroneproduction that is critical for a pregnancyin humans. hCG may have additional functions, for instance it is thought that it affects the immune tolerance of the pregnancy. Early pregnancy testinggenerally is based on the detection or measurement of hCG.

Antibody is shipped lyophilized at ambient temperature.
In lyophilized form, for long periods, store at 4ºC in a dry environment. After reconstitution, if not intended for use within a month, aliquot and store at -20ºC.
Reconstitute with H20. Mix gently, wash the sides of the vial and wait 30-60 seconds before use.
Two years lyophilized, one month in solution at 4ºC.
By direct ELISA, 1:10,000 dilution will yield 0.5 O.D using alkaline phosphatase conjugated rabbit anti-mouse Ig (Jackson Laboratories).
